the olive tree christmas 2018 gift sets natural skincare products sls free sles free paraben free

Last Christmas, we saved at least 2,000 boxes and paper bags being used once and thrown away. Our mission continues in 2018.

This Christmas, we worked with Dora Ting of Les Dyer Workshop to give our Cotton Bag a facelift.

Originating from India, the indigo dye is derived from the leaves of shrubs in the Indigofera family. It has been used for more than 5000 years in most regions of India to colour yarn and fabric (especially cotton) in shades of blue. It is the blue dye that is used to dye our jeans blue.

1200 hours = 2400 bags & furoshiki wraps. Each cotton bag is carefully tied, dyed, rinsed, dried and ironed, by hand. Every bag is unique and different.

This video shows the #BTS of how our Natural Indigo Dye Cotton Bags are made.

This Christmas, most of our gift sets are gift wrapped in reusable Limited Edition Natural Indigo Dye Cotton Bags or Furoshiki Wraps.
